I had not been on 3rd St for a very long time (very long time!) and the store has moved to across the street and its 3-4 times bigger than the original one!
The selection of clothing is more selected I feel. And their originals are a great addition.
Their little corner in the far left is also a lot of fun with the Hello Kitty goodies and some Japanese magazines:)

It took me way too long to finally check out Nickel Diner in dtla. They do an amazing mac and cheese with a jalapeno kick and some magical bread crumb thing on top. I would describe their food as gourmet comfort food. There portions are super generous and the service is great. On top of that the interior is so comfy and cool with high ceilings, vintage signs and long vinyl booth seats.

This little unique shop on Abbot Kinney, A+R felt like one of my greatest finds in LA for pop and unique interior decorating pieces.
Their mission began with combing the world both literally and virtually, scouring design sites and boutiques for unusual products to feature in the A+R store and website.

In August this year they just opened another shop on La Brea which seems to be twice larger in space compared to their Abbot Kinney store.
So happy that they are closer to me now.

During the holiday season (which is now) they are planning to add more gifty type things from Japan, France and Netherlands!

In my opinion, this is the best nursery in town, Sunset Blvd Nursery. When I first started my little garden I knew I wanted to grow kale so that I could juice every day.
Well, ,I had gone from nursery to nursery looking for kale and NO ONE had them! Really, no one! Yes, you are able to buy seeds online but I did not have the patience to start from seeds during that time.

When my friend told me about Sunset Blvd Nursery I wasnt expecting to see anything I wanted, but boy was I wrong! And am happy I was!! They had sooo many vegetables!!
Got me so excited, I bought everything from them to start my little garden. Glad I did because the staff there is also so very helpful and know what they are talking about!!

They also have a great selection of succulents and just a few days ago I went and picked up a few.

okay, this treasure spot is called The Lemon Frog. It is an awesome vintage clothing boutique.And it gives you the fun feeling of hunting for the right vintage piece!
If you dont like hunting, then this place might overwhelm you.

The pieces are very well selected by the owner, Micky Curtis whom was one of the original Wasteland buyers. She has a good eye for 60′s, 70′s and 80′s dresses, tops and accessories. They may not all be affordable, but they are rare finds. And sometimes the rack by the door goes on sale and have found some cuties!

My first visit there I was greeted by her and she explained the whole layout of the store and where I could find what.

It is a small vintage clothing boutique but packed with many many finds. If you find yourself with a free afternoon and an urge to shop, you might want to stop by and give it go!

One of my favorite cafe’s in LA, MILK. I used to live down the street so I would come down here a lot! I remember when it first opened and it wasnt so crazy.
Lately with the popularity (happy for MILK, not for me) it gets busy during eating time!

They are known for their treats. All the yummy treats! Ice cream, macaroon, macaroon ice cream sandwiches and the gooey chocolate chip cookies!!

But I remember when I first came here, the owner would personally come out and ask if we had any allergies or just to say hi. And the chicken dish he would make would be soooo gooood!!
I still remember the taste. Thats how good!
Thinking of the customers is what I got from him and liked that a lot.

Either way, the food is always good so you will find me here every now and then.

My only wish…wish they had wifi. Then I could work from MILK!

Nice to meet you all!

I am not new to the blogger world, but I am going to try something I have never done before! This has been on my mind for a while now and am so happy to be doing my first post!

I get to travel around the world for work and find so many amazing places to eat, shop or just places to walk around and get inspired. Also I realized that I have been living in LA now going for 8 years and still find neat little spots that I fall in love with that I never knew existed!

Have you ever been in a town and wanted to go shopping but didn’t want to go to the  towns shopping center? Or a mass marketed store?Or you wanted to walk around and be around people and not in front of your computer doing online shopping? Or want to sit down and people watch at a cute little cafe but had no clue on where to go?

I have searched everywhere for a site that has this type of “tasteful” information. Thats the key word, Tasteful!  You can look online and find stores here and there, but is it what you are actually looking for?And not one site has it all …. at least not yet!

Now, I want to share these places with you. I want you to be able to come to my site and find new places or comment and discuss what we like and dislike about those places. This page will be a place to discover new boutiques, cafe’s and hopefully new friends!

I want to post places I have been and places I hope to see and explore one day. And I hope that you guys will share that with me too!

You might possibly already know about this place.
One of the world’s oldest pharmacies, the Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, still produces its historically luxurious creams and perfumes from secret recipes in Florence Italy.

I found out while I was in NYC in the 45rPM store. I walked in and fell in love with the scent they had going in the store, so I immediately asked the staff what the smell was and she told me it was the incense of Santa Maria Novella potpourri. Unfortunatly I didn’t have the time to walk over to the LAFCO store, but luckily there was a store right here in LA on Melrose Place.Sparsely available throughout the world…the line is incredibly exclusive and hard to find!

Great place to buy gifts for anyone and yourself!
They have soaps, scented candles, body products and known for their perfumes and signature scents.Their colognes are legendary for their quality of oils, lasting power and originality.
This place smells amazing!

Some of my favorites are the Rose Water (which I still use and am in LOVE with)

A little fact I found on YELP! :
Many people are familiar with Santa Maria Novella from the JAMES BOND movies, in the film “Casino Royale” in one of the final scenes you see James going through his girlfriends handbag searching for clues, Then you see the perfume in Eva Green’s handbag is “Melograno” from Santa Maria Novella.
